Compass Edge Opens London Office; Appoints MD for Europe
Compass Edge, the leading Hong Kong-based service provider of online solutions for the hospitality industry, has expanded its rapidly growing operations to Europe with the opening of an office in London, England.
The office, which will be headed by Cho Wong as Managing Director, will enable Compass Edge to better service the increasing number of independent hotels in Europe that make use of the company’s comprehensive portfolio of solutions.
Compass Edge Europe will work to educate independent hotels in Europe on how best to tap into the enormously lucrative China market. Its solutions include increased exposure and distribution through a locally hosted localised website, Baidu SEO, marketing alliances within China and beyond, as well as expert social media management on Weibo and WeChat channels.

Cho has in-depth knowledge of hotel distribution. He has worked with 4 Oceans Hotel Reservations Services, Pegasus Solutions and most recently with Supranational Hotels where he stayed for almost 12 years.
“With 2018 designated as EU-China tourism year and China’s One Belt One Road initiatives, we will see further increase of Chinese outbound tourists traveling free and easy. Europe is ripe to benefit from this enormous market. Hoteliers however need to know how to reach out to the Chinese and market themselves properly,” Cho Wong said. “Compass Edge Europe has been set up for this reason. We would like to educate European independent hotels, to get them prepared so hoteliers can benefit from this boom. We are offering the Go China online branding solution from the London office to assist European hotels.”
Cho has a BSc in Engineering Science (Civil Engineering) from the University of Warwick and a MBA in International Business from the Warwick Business School. He speaks fluent English, Mandarin and Cantonese.
